After we arrived Ngong Ping Market, we all rushed to Po Lin Monastery for some vegetarian dim sum and snacks. The temperature @ Ngong Ping was just 21C this morning, sunny and windy also, really a perfect day for a walk.

We moved to the way for Wisdom Path (Pillars with "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra" carved), then you will see a direction sign for "Po Lam Zen Monastery". Just stick to the way for Po Lam Zen Monastery, that is the way for Fat Mun Ancient Path.

Lantau Peak is just behind Tachibana san!! It is the 2nd highest mountain in HK, with a height of over 980m. A big cow (or a mixed breed of cow and buffalo??) was having a sunbath near the entrance of Nei Lek Shan Country Path.

We could see the pillar for "Fat Mun Ancient Path", Ngong Ping Camp site and Nei Lek Shan Country Path are also nearby.

See this stone archway, which is the start point of "Fat Mun Ancient Path".

Walk downhill via Fat Mun Ancient Path, you will see a pavilion as you are moving along the road.

You will see some farmlands as you move along the road, this place is part of Po Lam Zen Monastery. Monks grow their own vegetables here.

Now we were outside Po Lam Zen Monastery, with beautiful scenes everywhere. It is not a very big temple, but the old Chinese style perfectly matches the forest scenes. There is a stone Buddha statue near the temple, which is called "Ming Sun Rock" (Ming Sum means "understand my heart, understand how I feel")

This way for Tung Chung.

Po Tung Tower from Po Lam Zen Monastery.

A very very old monastery inside the bushes~~ Sheung Shue Kui (Twin trees' house.. a funny name)

As we were walking through the forest, sometimes we could see ruined monasteries inside the bushes.

We were @ Wah Yim Kok Monastery (sorry for trespassing).... We were attracted by the colourful Buddha tower and the blue stone bridge near the stream!

Fat Lam Zen Monastery.

Tung Lam Monastery, is abandoned long time ago, now only this door is left.

Streams and bushes at the back of the ruined Tung Lam Monastery, a good place for ghost-hunting... :P

Going downhill for Shek Mun Kap.

Now @ Lo Han Monastery of Shek Mun Kap, we are going to have lunch here.

A walk @ Mok Ka Village after lunch.
