Now at Po Chu Dam, walk up Cheung Shan (Elephant Hill) and start the trail to Tung Chung.

開始沙石山徑之旅.

From here, the mountain path is sandy and full of stones.









今天一直水漲, 不能綑岸而行, 只稍看粉紅海岸.

High tide today, we couldn't walked along the "Pink Seacoast", so we just took some photos near the pink rocks.









接回山徑, 沿路山徑全由粉紅石組成.

Back to the shore ~ the mountain path is also made up of pink rocks.









新洲+鐵德樹一帶的舊捕魚用具.

An old fishing tool used in the old days ~ here's Sun Chau / Tit Tat Shu, fishermen used to get fish here for selling.









繼續步向深屈.

距離大澳越來越遠.

We were far away from Tai O.









紅粉佳人伴深屈~~~ 雖然有霧, 但仍可見到"粉紅海岸", 快到茜草灣(深屈村附近的一條舊漁村)了.

Although quite misty this morning, we could still see the "Pink Seacoast", now we were near Sai Tso Wan(An old fish village near Sham Wat Village).









終於到了石屎路段!

Now we had ended our sandy mountain path and started to walk on concrete village road.





大澳至深屈的山路凹凸不平, 很多碎石, 有少許路段狹窄及極貼崖壁, 沿途見有單車人要即時徹離, 可見此段只宜徒步登山, 不宜單車前行.
為免車毀人亡, 單車人都是原路回程.


The sandy mountain path from Tai O to Sham Wat is rough and stoney, some points are narrow and near the edge of the cliff. Many bikers moved back to Sham Wat when they saw the mountain road.
It is better to end @ Sham Wat and back to Tung Chung if you're riding a bike.







石級上行入深屈.

茜草灣已成荒村, 村民已經搬離多時, 不過仍見有果園在村口, 不知假日會否有村民回來....


Sai Tso Wan is already abandoned long time ago. Villagers all moved, but there's still a farmland for growing fruit near the entrance of the village.







離開茜草灣, 步向深屈. (沙螺灣方向)

再訪深屈灣.

今日在坤叔的店子吃午飯, 坤嬸和一家人都在店內幫忙.

We had our lunch @ Old Kwan's shop, his wife and daughters also helped in the shop.

吃飽了, 單車男開始殺入深石, 花老B 繼續在深屈影相.

Bikers started to ride back to Sham Shek (to Tung Chung) after lunch, Tachibana san stayed behind to take photos.









深屈很美, 但因為返回東涌仍要3小時, 所以不能久留了.

Sham Wat is really very beautiful. But as we still need 3 hours to walk to Tung Chung, we had to leave early.









步向深屈村的後段, 向深石村和散石村前進.

Walked to another part of Sham Wat village, and continued our journey to Sham Shek village and San Shek village.









深屈雖然非常偏遠, 但仍有不少村民居住.

Although Sham Wat is very far away from the urban area, there are still a number of villagers living there.

深屈山內有梵音~~ 忽然有唸佛的聲音傳出, 原來有一小佛堂在此!!

深石社~ 是土地公公的小屋.

Sham Shek House ~ A little stone 'house' for the Deity of Land in Sham Shek.

In the old past, villagers used to worship Deity of Land, which is believed to protect the village from disasters.









有塊石碑, 原來是"大嶼山深石村水圳碑"~ 水圳, 引水用的設施.

A monument~ Something written... the meaning is to memorise the building of waterwork to facilitate the farming of Sham Shek village in the past.









路上小廟~~ 祭祀社稷之神(社為地神、土神;稷為糧神、穀神)

A little temple on the village road of Sham Shek~ it is for worshipping the Deity of Land and Deity of Food and Agriculture.

This kind of little temples were very popular in the old villages, as the villagers made their livings from agriculture and fishing.









深石村的古橋~~ 天德聖橋, 下有小河.(未有石屎村路時村民要利用此小橋過河)
